As an educator or staff member of the early childhood community it is important that you stay abreast of current practice and research that will inform your curriculum decision making for children and assist you in your provision of care and education for children and their families. Professional organisations will provide information and support in understanding quality practice, keeping you informed of the current issues and changes emerging in relation to early childhood education and care, as well as providing a forum for you to express your concerns and provide feedback as required. Membership of one or more is crucial to your ability to be well informed and able to respond to change as required.
